RECENTLY I RECEIVED THE FOLLOWING REQUEST:

"Can anyone reccomend rap songs in English for use with junior high school students? I am looking for songs with "clean lyrics," that is not full of references to sex and> violence.>> Thanks>> ( a teacher)


I immediately penned the following reply, which strangely enough, did not appear on the English teachers' site.

Thus was I required to go back to this blog that I began so long ago and then dropped like a hot bowl of chicken soup with avian flu:
Dear teacher: All rap music lyrics are clean, as long as you can convince the pupils that these definitions are definite:
A: "HO'" is a garden tool.
B: "FUK" Means Frequently Unasked Kwestions
C: "HUMPS" are road obstacles deliberately placed to slow down traffic.
D: "ASS" is a donkey, see Shreck.
E: "NIGGA" is Amharic for tomorrow.
F: "MUDDAFUK" is a Hebrew slang expression of mild astonsihlment, as in "?? מה, דפוק??? "


So, See ya ASS later, NIGGA!
